Adding Hair to a Crocheted Doll: Video Tutorial

Wondering how all of that hair gets on my dolls??

Check out the 4-part Video Tutorial on YouTube!

Here's what it covers:
  1. Defining the Hairline: This is the most important step when adding hair to your doll. It is what defines the face & can really affect the appearance of the doll. This Part begins with a summary of the tools needed, a demo of how I prepare the strands of hair, deciding where to put the hairline & the basics for adding it to the doll.
  2. Creating a Part: If you'd like to do pigtails (or two braids, or anything else that requires a part) this is how I do it! I discuss everything you need to know to make it as neat as possible, including how to cover gaps so the skin color doesn't show through.
  3. Filling in the Spaces: Here I show how to finish adding the strands of hair along the back of the hairline & then the empty spaces in the middle.
  4. Styling & Trimming: The last step! I show how I smooth out the hair along the part, tie it into neat pigtails & give a trim to tidy it up!
