Charlie the Dog

Introducing....

Charlie the Dog!

Now available on Ravelry & Etsy!

Made with Bernat Pipsqueak this sweet puppy is unbelievably soft! Plus the bulky yarn & large hook means that this cuddly friend works up quickly!

Yarn:
Measuring about 14 inches tall the pattern uses approximately 125 of white & only 15 yards brown! I used Pipsqueak in Whitey White & Chocolate for the one shown.

Other materials:
Eyes: 12mm
Nose: 18mm
Stuffing
Hook: K 6.5mm
Finishing Needle
Stitch markers

Please note: Safety eyes/noses are recommended for ages 3 & up. If you are making a toy for a younger child consider embroidering facial features instead!

Included in pattern:
PDF with step by step instructions for making the puppy, with pictures!

Simple Striped Scarf:

Yarn: Worsted Weight - shown in HL I Love This Yarn in Desert Glaze (orange) & Sungold (yellow)
Hook: K 6.5mm
  1. Using Orange - fsc 70, turn
  2. Switch to Yellow - ch 1, sc in each st across, turn
  3. Switch to Orange - ch 1, sc in each st across, turn
  4. Switch to Yellow - ch 1, sc in each st across, tie off (or keep repeating rounds 2 & 3 to make it wider!)
  5. Don't worry about weaving in ends, just secure them & let them blend in with the tassels!
Add some orange tassels to the orange sections & yellow tassels to the yellow sections!
  1. Cut 8 yellow and 8 orange pieces about 6 inches long
  2. Fold 1 piece in half
  3. Insert hook through stitch at the end of the scarf (at a row that matches your tassel color) & grab the fold of the yarn with your hook
  4. Pull the fold through the stitch, hook the ends of the piece & pull through the loop on the hook (just like making a chain except pull all the way through)
  5. Pull tight & repeat until there are 2 per stripe on each end. Trim to desired length.
